Exporting AEP profile attributes and audience to Adobe Target
Adobe Target is a comprehensive solution within the Adobe Experience Cloud designed to customize and personalize customer experiences. It enables you to optimize revenue across web and mobile sites, apps, social media, and other digital channels. Data from multiple systems seamlessly integrates into Adobe Target, including Adobe Analytics, AEM, AEP, and others.
Adobe Experience Platform is the leading, most adaptable, and open system for creating and managing comprehensive solutions that enhance customer experiences. It allows organizations to centralize and standardize customer data and content from any source, leveraging data science and machine learning to significantly elevate the creation and delivery of personalized, immersive experiences.
After collecting and analyzing customer data, AEP creates a unified customer profile that provides a comprehensive view of the customer and their behavior. AEP can share two key elements with Adobe Target:
- Audience: A group of users with similar behaviors or characteristics.
- Profile Attribute: Information about the user, such as name, age, gender, purchase history, and more.
This blog will explore configuring and using AEP’s profile attributes in Adobe Target and exporting AEP’s audience to Adobe Target. AEP Profile attributes in Adobe Target are name/value pairs that capture details about website visitors. These details can include demographic and behavioral information, such as age, gender, and purchase history. Adobe Target leverages this data to deliver personalized content to visitors.
Use Case
Imagine creating a special feature for our app or website tailored to each user. Normally, users that belong to the same audience see the same personalized feature. But in this case, we want to make sure we speak to each user directly, using their name in the message.
For example, James Anderson would say, “Hey James Anderson, this offer is for you,” and Addhyan Agarwal would say, “Hey Addhyan Agarwal, this offer is for you.”
This way, the message feels more personal and directly relevant to them.
